We breathe more than we do anything else but many of us never learn how to do it well. Breathing is one of the only things we do that is under both conscious and unconscious control in our autonomic nervous system.
If you are serious about health and performance, you must be intentional about making the switch from mouth to nose breathing.
Mouth-breathing is a survival mechanism. When we use it more often than not, or during sleep, in harms the body. It decreases respiratory immunity, increases dental disease, deforms head and skeletal posture, starves our mitochondria and ultimately shrinks the brain.
For these simple reason, it’s time to relearn nasal breathing. It is our gateway into our nervous system.
